Corn farmers pleased with new trade deal

The President of the National Corn Growers Association says that the new U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement will help provide certainty to farmers after months of NAFTA renegotiations.

Lynn Chrisp says the agreement preserves two critical markets to corn farmers.

“Mexico has consistently been our number one market for corn exports and Canada is a very large, critical market for our ethanol fuel exports,” he says.

He tells Brownfield that NAFTA has been a success for the ag industry and NCGA is looking forward to finding out more details.
