Corn groups take issue with sustainable aviation fuel requirements  

Some corn groups are disappointed with new guidance for sustainable aviation fuel tax credits.

Michigan Corn Growers Association Executive Director Jim Zook says the new model negatively impacts the carbon index (CI) score for corn-based ethanol.

“Why are we getting an indirect land use charge and why is it actually almost three times larger than what Brazilian ethanol is?” he questions. “Those are questions that I believe EPA and Treasury need to address.”
