The incoming president of the National Corn Growers Association says he will get an update on the farm bill from lawmakers in Washington D.C. this week.
Harold Wolle says he has many questions as corn growers meet with lawmakers.
“I’d love to see what those committees are working on and have they been able to find additional funds we could use to improve the safety net?”
Wolle says he is optimistic for a boost in reference prices for the Ag Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs, but there are other cost-effective ways to improve the farm safety net.
