The Moniteau County Health Board will wait for the outcome of
pending legal action before deciding whether to enact a concentrated animal
feeding operation ordinance. Board President James Canter told Brownfield
Monday the outcome of the suit opposing Senate Bill 391 will help the board
decide what to do next.
“We will have to be in compliance with [the Missouri Department of Natural Resources]
regardless of when we take any action, if we take any action,” Caner told
Brownfield Ag News Monday following a very meeting in California, Missouri.
