An organization representing U.S. cow/calf producers is frustrated the renegotiated NAFTA agreement does NOT include Country of Origin Labeling (COOL).
Lia Biondo with the United States Cattlemen’s Association says they’ve had several meetings with the Trump Administration to stress the importance of a WTO-compliant labeling program for beef products.
“(it’s) Good news we’ve come to an agreement, however despite our efforts the new agreement does not include a viable pathway forward for Country of Origin Labeling.”
She tells Brownfield COOL would put more money in the pockets of U.S.
