Many farmers across the Midwest are seeing a variety of crop diseases because of increasingly hot and moist conditions.
Mike Meyer is a technical expert with Corteva.
“Frogeye leaf spot, mostly gray leaf spot, and in pockets throughout the Midwest we are seeing Physoderma Brown Spot,” he says.
He tells Brownfield now is the time for farmers to scout fields and consider fungicide application.
He says some farmers may be hesitant because of the down farm economy, but he thinks that applying fungicide will pay off in the end.
