Wheat harvest is moving along in Arkansas.
The USDA reports as of Sunday 77% of corn, 77% of cotton, 83% of peanuts, and 66% of soybeans is rated good to excellent. The alfalfa hay crop is only 27 percent good to excellent.
Some crop progress remains ahead of average with 64% of the corn crop silking, 54% of cotton is squaring, 23% of peanuts are pegging, 30% of soybeans are setting pods and 85% of winter wheat is harvested.
