The Wisconsin Dairy Task Force will continue its work in 2019 and under the new administration. Wisconsin’s Governor-Elect Tony Evers tells Brownfield he might push for the task force’s recommendations sooner. “We’ll continue it, and I think we’re going to try to accelerate its work, frankly. I think it’s an important group and it’s brought the right people together, but there has to be some urgency here with some specific recommendations.”
Outgoing Republican Governor Scott Walker appointed the task force earlier this year to look for ways to strengthen the dairy industry for now and the future during times of low milk prices.
