At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were oversold and due for a bounce. Feeder cattle ended the day higher on the same
factors. Both were able to move higher after
hog futures came off the early lows. August
live cattle closed $.15 higher at $107.80 and October live cattle closed $.42
lower at $107.40. August feeder cattle
closed $.90 higher at $140.52 and September feeder cattle closed $1.17 higher
at $139.40.
Direct cash cattle trade started the week at a standstill.
