An analyst says despite the current trade rhetoric, China remains a promising market for U.S. ag exports.
Sue Martin, president of Iowa-based Ag and Investment Services, tells Brownfield Chinese president Xi Jinping has a very ambitious goal of eradicating poverty by 2020.
“That’s a big endeavor when about 37 percent of the population is in poverty. But that commands a lot of food (and) energy to make that progress.”
She says China is methodically sourcing grain between the U.S.
