Disagreements remain on SNAP work requirements

Two of the Illinois congressional delegation serving on the Farm Bill Conference Committee maintain differing views on the nutrition title of that legislation.  Republican Rodney Davis supports the food stamp work and job training requirements in the House version of the bill because there are millions more on food stamps during low unemployment.

“Let’s get people trained and into the jobs that we know are available, that are good-paying in our rural communities right now,” said Davis, in an interview with Brownfield Ag News.
