The leading U.S. agricultural negotiator is confident the USMCA trade agreement will not have problems getting ratified.
Gregg Doud with the U.S. Trade Representative’s office tells Brownfield he believes Democrats taking control of the House of Representatives in the election won’t slow down the USMCA ratification process. “The conversations from the beginning were on both sides of the aisle to try to address everybody’s concerns here.”
Doud tells Brownfield a great deal of care was taken during negotiations to ensure support from both political parties.
