Drought continues to hurt MO crops, pastures

Drought in Missouri sees little relief on the week, pushing most crop and field conditions lower.

USDA says corn silking is on pace at 95 percent. Corn doughing is two thirds complete, about even with the average. The crop’s condition continues to fall for the fourth week in a row at 51 percent good to excellent.

Nearly 80 percent of Missouri’s soybean crop is blooming, with nearly half setting pods. Soybeans improved slightly to 49 percent good to excellent.
