Dry conditions good for wheat harvest

A Michigan farmer says while his crops desperately need more rain, weather has been idea for wheat harvest.

“We didn’t have to worry about stopping and losing test weight because once we started we could stay right with it, we didn’t even have heavy dews at night.”

Bill Hunt grows corn, soybeans and wheat east of Flint. He tells Brownfield wheat yields were better than expected in the mid-90s range, but other crops are suffering.
