Dry, mild to unseasonably warm, favorable fall fieldwork weather ahead across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, with the western and central U.S. having the greatest likelihood of experiencing warmer-than-normal weather.  Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions across Florida’s peninsula and the Pacific Northwest.
