Various firms are busy conducting surveys to assess the
size of this year’s corn and soybean crops.
DTN recently partnered with Gro Intelligence to formulate
yield estimates, using a combination of data sets similar to what USDA uses for
its August report.
DTN lead market analyst Todd Hultman says while some states have yield projections close to USDA, there are five states that are significantly lower.
