Eastern Iowa farmer finishes planting, reports strong emergence

Spring planting recently wrapped for an eastern Iowa farmer.

Lance Lillibridge says the wetter than expected spring pushed back some of his progress. “I was having concerns about getting planted,” he said. “I guess you have to get planted before you replant, right? We were dodging a lot of rain showers, but I think overall we got planted in good conditions.”

The Benton County corn farmer tells Brownfield crop emergence has been favorable.
