Eight-percent of Arkansas corn mature

Eight percent of Arkansas corn has reached maturity, behind
last year and the average. As of Sunday, corn was nearly equal parts fair, good
and excellent, with 17 percent poor to very poor.

One percent of soybeans were mature as of Sunday. Most of
the crops was in fair to good shape.

For cotton, 97 percent was squaring and 33 percent of rice
had headed.  Rice is behind last year and
the average.
