The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has sent its 2019 ethanol volume mandates and 2020 biodiesel volume mandates to the White House. The news service Platts reports the notice, from the Office of Management and Budget, didn’t contain details, but indicates amounts are likely to be announced on schedule.
The Renewable Fuel Standard requires refiners and importers to blend 19.29 billion gallons of renewable fuel this year, including 15 billion gallons of ethanol. That’s the same as in 2017, and about 10.67 percent of the U.S.
