EPA issues existing stocks order for dicamba

The Environmental Protection Agency has issued an existing stocks order for dicamba, allowing for its limited use in 2024.

Ted McKinney, CEO of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture, says the organization is pleased with the EPA’s actions. “Farmers, retailers, or anybody who has possession of dicamba outside the confines of the registrant or the manufacturer will be allowed to use it in this coming season,” he says.

The order applies to dicamba that was “packaged, labeled, and released for shipment” prior to the February 6 ruling that vacated dicamba registration.
