The President and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association says ethanol exports are expected to set a new record.
“Somewhere in the range of 1.6-1.7 billion gallons,” he says.
Geoff Cooper tells Brownfield that means the U.S. will export more than 10 percent of the ethanol produced this year.
“One out of every ten gallons of our product is going off shore today,” he says. “That’s remarkable when you think about how 10 years ago we weren’t exporting hardly any ethanol.
