Ethanol, farm groups send E15 letter to Trump

A letter addressed to the President is the latest attempt by pro-ethanol groups seeking immediate action on year-round E15 sales.

Renewable Fuels Association executive vice president Geoff Cooper tells Brownfield the integrity of the Renewable Fuel Standard has been compromised, and says the letter calls for answers and action from the Trump Administration.

“We’re just trying to do anything we can to get our message in front of the President, and ask when is this announcement coming that’s been promised for the last several months dating back to April?”

The letter, signed by RFA, the National Corn Growers, American Farm Bureau, and others, noted ethanol prices, RIN credit prices, and ethanol profit margins are falling.
