U.S. ethanol production hit a multi-month low last week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1 million barrels a day, down 11,000 on the week for the lowest average since the week ending April 20th, 2018. Negative margins for plants and downtime because of the New Year’s holiday were factors as the industry waits for more details on the implementation of year-round E15 availability and potential export demand from China.
Stocks were up 92,000 barrels at 23.254 million.
