U.S. ethanol production pulled back last week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.013 million barrels a day, down 25,000 on the week and 74,000 on the year.
Several ethanol plants have reportedly closed because of margins and the industry is pushing for changes to EPA policy on small refinery exemption waivers.
Stocks climbed 819,000 barrels to 23.801 million. That’s a three-week high and 1.098 million barrels above a year ago.
