U.S. ethanol production rebounded slightly last week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 958,000 barrels a day, up 15,000 from the near two and a half year low the previous week, but still 57,000 barrels below a year ago. The Renewable Fuels Association says the four-week average was the lowest in almost three years. The industry continues to struggle with margins while waiting for the White House’s biofuels reform package.
Stocks rose 719,000 barrels to 23.219 million.
