U.S. ethanol production hit a four-week high last week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.053 million barrels a day, up 12,000 on the week, as the industry and fuel blenders respond to demand during the early part of the summer driving season, despite some uncertainties about White House policy on renewable fuels.
Ethanol stocks were up 277,000 barrels from the week before at 22.174 million, topping 22 million barrels for the first time since mid-May.
