U.S. ethanol production climbed higher last week as supplies tightened slightly.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.051 million barrels a day, up 31,000 from the previous week’s more than four-month low with the industry expecting continued solid demand, despite a slowdown in exports, lower margins, and uncertainty about RFS policy including year-round access to E15.
Stocks were down 148,000 barrels on the week at 22.746 million.
