Farm to Fly legislation increases support for sustainable aviation fuel

New bipartisan legislation has been introduced in the U.S. House to support the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel with USDA resources.

House Ag Committee member and Ohio Republican Max Miller introduced the legislation.  He tells Brownfield the Farm to Fly Act would give sustainable aviation fuels access to USDA bio-energy programs.

“It’s just affirming a common definition—Sustainable Aviation Fuels as we’re calling in Farm to Fly, through the adoption of the GREET standard by USDA to optimize agricultural crops role in aviation biofuels,” he says.
