Many farmers in the Midwest continue to face planting delays because of cool and wet conditions. Southern Indiana Farmer Ben Kron says it has been one of the worst planting seasons he’s seen. “It’s really bad- we thought last year was bad but at this time we were still probably 70-80% done,” he says. “I would say most farmers in this area are 10-20% done right now so It’s probably the worst we’ve seen in 20-30 years.” He tells Brownfield there was finally a brief window to begin planting last week.
