Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack says the Biden administration won’t release its updated Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions and Energy Use in Technologies or GREET model for a few more weeks and farmers at the Commodity Classic had mixed reactions.
“It’s a little disappointing and another situation where they want to see if we have any patience left,” says Dan Wesley, a farmer from eastern Nebraska.
The Biden administration had a March 1 deadline to finalize any changes and with Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack and EPA Administrator Michael Regan speaking at the Commodity Classic that day, farmers were expecting positive news.
