Farmland values seem to be maintaining a common theme to begin the year.
Farmers National Company senior vice president of real estate operations Paul Schadegg says the market remains resilient.
“In spite of all the headwinds we’ve seen with declining commodity markets and interest rates higher than what we’ve seen in the past, land values are maintaining the values that they’ve set over the past three years.”
He tells Brownfield the strength is primarily in the high-value cropland areas of eastern Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana.
