At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle futures closed lower on the weak cash trade
and weakening wholesale values. Feeder
cattle closed higher on the day’s sharply lower move in corn. August live cattle closed $1 lower at $104.35
and October live cattle closed $.90 lower at $105.42. August feeder cattle closed $1.05 higher at
$136.85 and September feeder cattle closed $.60 higher at $136.70.
We saw another round of light to moderate business to finish up the week.
