Andy Clay is still looking at high water on his farm near the Missouri River in central Missouri. He doesn’t know when he’ll be able to return to the field, he said during a Missouri Farm Bureau Telephone Town Hall Tuesday evening. “Somehow we saved the levee, but the bottom is full and looks like it’s been broke,” said Clay, during the call, “so we’re pretty much out of commission in both bottoms with the river remaining high for the foreseeable future and then some.” The story changes in Missouri’s Bootheel.
