Fourth case of high-path avian flu reported in Iowa since October 20th

Another case of highly pathogenic avian influenza has been reported in an Iowa commercial turkey flock.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship says the detection in Buena Vista County in the northwest part of the state is the second for the county this fall and fourth overall since October 20th.

Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig recently told Brownfield the state’s poultry producers need to be on high alert as waterfowl migrate south.
