This Friday, August 30th, is the deadline for farmers affected by flooding to apply for help from USDA emergency assistance programs.
The USDA Farm Service Agency provides up to 75% of
renovation costs through its Emergency Conservation Program, up to
$500-thousand-dollars.
The program helps farmers and ranchers renovate their flood
land but does not help with removal of sand that is less than six inches, or
with programs costing less than a-thousand-dollars.
