The USDA Farm Service Agency is preparing for the second Market Facilitation Program.
Minnesota FSA director Joe Martin says producers continue to contact his office asking about how payments are calculated.
“The payment rates vary by county obviously, and there’s a formula that went into it in terms of acres in the county, yield, and the rate that was calculated. So I think people will want to sort through that.”
Speaking to Brownfield at Minnesota Farmfest near Redwood Falls in southwest Minnesota, Martin says another common question about MFP2 has to do with differences between 2018 and ’19 planted acres.
