Gates Foundation picks St. Louis area for ag center

The St. Louis ag corridor will grow with the announcement of
a new ag innovations non-profit center by the Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation.

Gates Ag One, as it is said to be named, is led by the director
of the foundation’s Global Growth and Opportunity Division. Joe Cornelius is a
former executive at Monsanto and Bayer Crop Science.

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, in the St. Louis
area, says the move is great news, that Gates Ag One would complement its work.
