The head of the American Coalition for Ethanol says the long-term opportunity for sustainable aviation fuel could be enormous, but there’s still a long way to go.
Brian Jennings tells Brownfield, “Specific to sustainable aviation field, I think Gevo is really leading the effort, but generally speaking, many of us are working on this because it could provide very important and valuable carbon credits to both ethanol producers and farmers in the future.”
Gevo recently announced a new $30 million USDA grant to track and reward carbon reductions made in corn production used for sustainable aviation fuel production.
