The Global Dairy Trade index fell for a fifth straight trading session Tuesday.
The index was down 2.9% to an average price of $3,768 per metric ton. Prices fell for anhydrous milk fat and whole milk powder and prices increased for Cheddar cheese, skim milk powder and butter.
The biggest gains for this session were for Cheddar cheese, which went up 4.2% to $5,005 dollars per metric ton or $2.27 per pound.
