A new report finds every dollar of U.S. grain exported in 2016 supported an additional $2.20 in economic activity.
Grain exports in 2016 were
valued at $55 billion and supported more than 270,000 jobs. The report by Informa
Agribusiness Consulting says grain exports led to nearly $38 billion in additional
business sales beyond the value of the commodities.
The study was commissioned by the U.S. Grains Council and the National Corn Growers Association.
