Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says the EPA is undermining the intent of Congress when it hands out RFS waivers to oil refiners.
But Grassley says trying to get a fix through Congress could be risky, given “the powerful interests of the oil companies”.
“The chance of getting an RFS issue up, of any nature—whether it’s about the waivers or anything else—is very much a gamble. Because we could be hurt by people that are against the RFS—and there’s a lot of powerful forces that are against it,” Grassley says.
