House Democrats and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer are scheduled to meet again today to discuss possible changes to the USMCA trade deal.
Meanwhile, Iowa Senator Chuck
Grassley says he’s “very worried” that Congress won’t sign off on the deal by
the end of the year.
“The clock’s ticking–time’s running out—and I’m going to urge Democrats in the House to move quickly. Not only based upon possible impeachment, but because you get into next year and you’ve got the whole political system,” Grassley says.
