A U.S. Congressman from Missouri says it’s realistic to advance the new farm bill through the House this year.
Sam Graves tells Brownfield “I know Chairman Thompson is working very hard to make sure it happens. I think we’ll see a short-term extension through December, but he’s optimistic we’ll see it done and hopefully, the Senate can move it.”
Graves says the Senate is having challenges moving legislation and that might be a big hurdle for the farm bill.
