Two non-profit groups suing Monsanto over labeling of its glyphosate herbicide say they are pleased a federal judge has allowed their suit to go forward.
Beyond Pesticides and The Organic Consumer Association filed suit against Monsanto last April saying the company’s label on its RoundUp herbicides is misleading.
The federal judge in the case (in Washington, DC) ruled against Monsanto’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
The groups say Monsanto’s label saying RoundUp doesn’t target an enzyme in people or pets, but only in plants, is false and misleads consumers.
