Nearly 200 business and industry groups, including ag groups, have warned the U.S. trade representative of harmful effects of more Chinese tariffs on the U.S. with expected Chinese retaliation. Midnight was the deadline for submitting comments on President Trump’s threat of U.S. tariffs on another $200-Billion-dollars-worth of goods. The groups warn that consumer prices could escalate – even on basic food items.
