A Southwest Nebraska farmer says harvest is nearing the finish line.
Andy Jobman tells Brownfield he has about a week left and yields are beating expectations despite the region’s historic drought. “We thought we had some pretty decent corn out there. We thought we would have some good yields.”
He tells Brownfield he was hoping to hit 260 bushels per acre for some fields. “We’re hitting those underneath irrigation systems and, in some cases, exceeding it.
