Corn harvest is underway in parts of Tennessee.  Just 2% of the crop is harvested, on pace with the 5-year average. 

Soybeans are rated 47% good to excellent, with 92% setting pods, and 8% dropping leaves.  Cotton is rated 48% good to excellent with 13% of bolls opening. Tobacco is 96% topped and 35% cut.

Pastures are rated 54% good to excellent and dryer conditions have allowed some producers to put up additional hay. 

Topsoil moisture is 75% adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 74% adequate to surplus.
