A southwest Iowa farmer says his 2022 harvest is winding down.
Duane Aistrope says yields have been a mixed bag. “In the same field on corn it will go from 150 to 220,” he said. “Same variety and same everything. It’s just weird this year.”
But he tells Brownfield this year’s crop is better than he expected. “I would have thought earlier this summer I would have sold out for 40-bushel average on beans and 150-bushel on corn, but we’re going to end up better than that,” Aistrope said.
