Soybeans were sharply lower on commercial and technical selling, ending the session just above the day’s lows. The trade expects generally good harvest progress in many key growing areas over the next several days. Recent weather has damaged some of the crop, the question is how much. Weekly export numbers were bearish, continuing to show the impact of China’s tariff on U.S. beans. U.S. prices are below Brazil’s, even with the tariff, but aside from a couple of recent small purchases, Beijing continues to show no interest in U.S.
