Harvest rolling in southwest Iowa

Harvest rolling in southwest Iowa

Harvest is rolling in one of the few parts of Iowa not suffering from significant drought.

Jeff Jorgenson grows corn and soybeans near Sidney in the southwest corner of the state and says they received 16 to 20 inches of rain during the growing season.

“We really did get some rains that most of the state of Iowa and a lot of the Midwest did not get.”

He tells Brownfield most farmers in the area started harvest within the last seven to ten days.
